This Altivar 212 variable speed drive is designed to feed 3-phase asynchronous motors. It has a protection index of IP21 and includes a built-in EMC filter. It operates at rated power up to 2.2 kW / 3 hp and rated voltage from 380 V to 480 V AC. Its eco-energy design reduces energy consumption by up to 70% compared to conventional control systems. Featuring cable temperature rise reduction technology, it enables immediate disturbance-free operation without the need for extra options like line or DC chokes to manage current harmonics.

Specifically designed for common fluid management applications in tertiary sector buildings such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and pumping (HVAC). It complies with international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 (immunity and EMC emissions), and holds certifications CE, UL, CSA, C-Tick, and NOM.
The drive supports optional motor chokes to extend cable lengths between the drive and motor and to limit motor terminal disturbances. It mounts vertically (+/- 10 degrees) on panels with 4 fixing holes and can be mounted on a 3.5 cm wide DIN rail using a separately ordered kit VW3A31852.
The ATV212 drive integrates standard communication protocols including Modbus, METASYS N2, APOGEE FLN P1, and BACnet, making it easily adaptable to building management systems.
