Description

ATV212HU40N4 Variable Speed Drive – Altivar 212

This Altivar 212 variable speed drive feeds 3-phase asynchronous motors with rated power up to 4 kW and 5 hp. It operates at a rated voltage range of 323 to 528 V AC and is designed with an integrated Class C2 EMC filter and IP21 protection. The drive weighs 3.35 kg and measures 14.2 cm wide, 18.4 cm high, and 15.0 cm deep. It targets fluid management applications in HVAC such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning and pumping for tertiary sector buildings.

The design prioritizes energy efficiency resulting in up to 70% energy saving compared to conventional control systems. Featuring cable temperature rise reduction technology, the drive ensures immediate and disturbance-free operation without extra options like line or DC chokes.

It complies with international standards IEC/EN 61800-5-1 and IEC/EN 61800-3 regarding immunity, conducted and radiated EMC emissions. It is certified with CE, UL, CSA, C-Tick, and NOM marks. The product allows optional motor chokes to increase cable lengths and limit disturbances at motor terminals.

The drive is mounted vertically (+/- 10°) using 4 fixing holes on a panel. It integrates multiple communication protocols including Modbus, METASYS N2, APOGEE FLN P1, BACnet, and supports LonWorks communication card option, making it easily adaptable to building management systems.
