Description: MS165 is a compact and powerful range for motor protection up to 45 kW (400 V) / 80 A in width of 5.5 cm. They offer reliable protection for motors in the event of overload or phase failure. The devices have trip class 10. It features a clear and reliable fault indication in a separate window for short-circuit tripping. Additional features include a built-in disconnect function, temperature compensation, trip-free mechanism, and a rotary handle with clear switch position indication. Suitable for both three- and single-phase applications. The handle is lockable to prevent unauthorized changes. Accessories such as auxiliary contacts, signaling contacts, undervoltage releases, shunt trips, and power in-feed blocks are available and compatible across MS116/MS132/MS165 range.

Short-Circuit Capacities: Rated service short-circuit breaking capacity (Ics) includes 30 kA (230 V AC), 100 kA (250 V DC) with 3 poles in series, 30 kA (400 V AC), 30 kA (440 V AC), 20 kA (500 V AC), and 6 kA (690 V AC). Mounting: Suitable for mounting positions 1 to 6 on DIN rails TH35-15 and TH35-7.5 according to IEC 60715. Minimum mounting distances: Horizontal conductive board (up to 1000 V) 0.15 cm, vertical 7.5 cm; zero spacing needed horizontally between same devices and 15 cm vertically.
Terminals: Screw terminals supporting flexible with ferrule 1 to 35 mm², rigid and solid 1 to 4 mm², stranded up to 50 mm². Tightening torque is 4 N·m. Wire stripping length is 16 mm. Recommended screwdriver is Pozidriv 2.
