Description
UA30-30-10RA 220-230V 50Hz / 230-240V 60Hz Block Contactor
The UA30-30-10RA 220-230V 50Hz / 230-240V 60Hz is a 3-pole contactor for capacitor switching, designed for installations where the peak current far exceeds 100 times the nominal rms current. Delivered complete with 3 damping resistors ensuring limitation of current peaks on energization of capacitor banks with no need for additional inductances. Capacitors must be discharged with a maximum residual voltage of 50 V at terminals before re-energization during contactor making.
The contactor’s electrical durability is 250000 operating cycles for operational voltage below 500 V and 100000 cycles within 500 V to 690 V. It is of block type design with 3 main poles and 1 built-in auxiliary contact, using an AC-operated laminated magnet circuit control. A wide range of accessories is available.
Physical Dimensions: width 5.4 cm, depth/length 14.1 cm, height 13 cm, weight 0.81 kg.
Electrical Ratings: Rated operational voltage for auxiliary and main circuits is 690 V. Rated frequencies are 50/60 Hz. Conventional free-air thermal current Ith is 16 A. Rated operational currents AC-15 and DC-13 vary by voltage level; for example, AC-15 operational current at 500 V and 690 V is 2 A, and DC-13 operational current at 24 V is 6 A / 144 W. Rated operational power AC-6b at 230/240 V (40 °C) is 16 kvar, and up to 45 kvar at 690 V (40 °C).
Protection and Standards: Complies with IEC/EN 60947-1, IEC/EN 60947-4-1. Rated insulation voltages are up to 1000 V. Degree of protection is IP20 for auxiliary, coil, and main terminals. It includes rated short-time withstand currents and maximum breaking capacities at specified voltages and cos phi factors.
Mounting: Designed for TH35-15 mounting rails per IEC 60715 and can be mounted using 2 diagonal M4 screws (not supplied).
Environmental: Storage temperature range from -60 to +80 °C; operational temperature range from -40 to +70 °C depending on voltage. Suitable for operation up to 3000 m altitude. Pollution degree 3. Climatic withstand according to IEC 60068-2-30 and 60068-2-11.
