UA63-30-00RA 220-230V 50Hz / 230-240V 60Hz Contactors
The UA63-30-00RA is a 3-pole contactor designed for capacitor switching, suitable for installations where the peak current far exceeds 100 times the nominal rms current. The contactors come complete with damping resistors and must be used without additional inductances. Capacitors must be discharged (max residual voltage ≤ 50 V) before re-energizing when contactors are making.
Electrical durability: 250,000 operating cycles for voltages under 500 V and 100,000 operating cycles for voltages between 500 and 690 V.
The UA..RA contactors include a special front mounted block ensuring serial insertion of 3 damping resistors to limit current peaks on energization of capacitor banks and provide capacitor precharging to limit secondary current peaks. The design effectively damps the highest current peaks when switching on the capacitor bank.
