AF52-30-00-13 Block Contactor
The AF52-30-00-13 is a 3 pole contactor suitable for main circuit voltage up to 690 V IEC or 600 V UL with screw terminals. It controls motors up to 22 kW at 400 V AC (AC-3 duty) or 40 hp at 480 V UL, and switches power circuits up to 100 A at AC-1 or 80 A UL for general use.
It operates over a wide control voltage range from 100 to 250 V at 50/60 Hz and DC, effectively managing large voltage variations and reducing panel energy consumption. Surge protection is integrated in a compact block type design.
The product features 3 main normally open contacts, no auxiliary contacts, and 3 poles (3P). It complies with standards IEC/EN 60947-1, IEC/EN 60947-4-1, UL 60335-2-40, UL 60947-1, UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No. 60335-2-40, CSA C22.2 No. 60947-1:22, and CSA C22.2 No. 60947-4-1:22. Rated insulation voltage is 690 V according to IEC with impulse withstand of 6 kV.
Thermal current rating is 105 A at 40 °C. Rated operational currents vary by application: 100 A AC-1 at 40 °C, 80 A at 60 °C, 70 A at 70 °C; AC-3 currents include 53 A at 415/440 V, 45 A at 500 V, and 35 A at 690 V. DC operational currents include 100 A at 110 V for 2 or 3 poles in series.
Rated power for motor control (AC-3) is 22 kW at 400 V and up to 30 kW at 415 to 690 V. Mechanical endurance supports switching frequencies up to 3600 cycles per hour, electrical up to 1200 cycles per hour for AC-3.
The coil voltage control range is 100 to 250 V AC/50-60 Hz and DC with coil consumption of 4 V·A for AC and 2 W for DC. Power loss per pole is 6.3 W at AC-1 and 1.7 W at AC-3.
Dimensions are width 5.5 cm, depth 11.1 cm, height 12.55 cm, with a net weight of 0.95 kg.
Mounting is compatible with TH35-15 or TH35-7.5 DIN rails and screws (2 x M4 or M6). Wiring capacities for main circuit range from 4 to 35 mm², control circuit 0.75 to 2.5 mm² with stripping lengths of 1 cm for control and 1.6 cm for main circuit. Protection ratings are IP20 for coil terminals and IP10 for main terminals.
UL/CSA ratings include maximum operating voltage of 600 V, general purpose current rating of 80 A at 600 V AC, horsepower ratings from 3 hp single phase 120 V to 50 hp three phase 550-600 V. Tightening torque for screws is 1.2 N·m for control, 4 N·m for main terminals.
Approved operating ambient temperatures extend from -40 °C to 70 °C during operation and -60 °C to 80 °C for storage, with a maximum altitude of 3000 m.
