Block Contactor AF116-30-11-13
The AF116-30-11-13 is a 3 pole, 690 V IEC or 600 V UL contactor with pre-mounted auxiliary contacts and double clamp, controlling motors up to 55 kW at 400 V AC (AC-3) or 75 hp at 480 V UL and switching power circuits up to 160 A (AC-1) or 160 A UL general use.
Thanks to the AF technology, the contactor has a wide control voltage range (100-250 V 50/60 Hz and DC), managing large control voltage variations, reducing panel energy consumptions and ensuring distinct operations in unstable networks. Furthermore, surge protection is built-in, offering a compact solution. AF contactors have a block type design and can be easily extended with add-on auxiliary contact blocks and a wide range of accessories.
Electrical Ratings: Rated operational voltage of main circuit is 690 V, rated frequency is 50 / 60 Hz. Conventional free-air thermal current is 160 A.
Operational currents AC-1: 160 A at 40 °C, 145 A at 60 °C, 130 A at 70 °C. AC-3: ranges from 65 A at 690 V to 116 A at lower voltages at 55 °C. Similar ratings apply for AC-3e and DC operation.
Rated operational power AC-3 includes 55 kW at 415 V, 75 kW at 440 and 500 V, 55 kW at 690 V, down to 30 kW at 220-240 V.
Rated breaking capacity up to 8 x Ie for AC-3, making capacity up to 10 x Ie, with short-circuit protective devices of gG type fuses rated 250 A.
Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V acc. to IEC 60947-4-1 and VDE 0110, and 600 V per UL/CSA. Rated impulse withstand voltage is 8 kV.
Mechanical durability is 5 million operations with maximum mechanical switching frequency of 300 cycles per hour.
Coil operating limits range from 0.85 x Uc minimum to 1.1 x Uc maximum (at ambient temperatures ≤ 70 °C) with rated control circuit voltage of 100 to 250 V AC or DC.
Coil consumption: holding at max rated voltage consumes 6 V·A at AC and 3 W at DC, pull-in consumes 130 V·A at AC and 135 W at DC.
Connecting capacity main circuit accommodates flexible cables 2 x 10 to 70 mm² and rigid copper cables 2 x 10 to 95 mm². Auxiliary circuits support flexible cables with ferrule from 0.75 to 2.5 mm² and solid cables 1 to 4 mm².
Degree of protection: coil terminals IP20, main terminals IP00.
Tightening torque: cable lug 9 N·m, main circuit 8 N·m. Terminal type is double clamp.
UL/CSA max operating voltage is 600 V with a general use rating of 160 A. Horsepower ratings range from 30 hp at 200-208 V AC three-phase to 100 hp at 550-600 V AC three-phase.
Environmental conditions: ambient air temperature from -25 to 50 °C with thermal overload relay, else -40 to 70 °C, permissible operating altitude up to 3000 m.
Recyclability rate standardized at 87.8% per EN45555 with 37% recycled metal content. Compliant with RoHS and REACH directives and conflict minerals reporting templates available.
