CM-UFD.M33M Grid Feeding Monitoring Relay
The CM-UFD.M33M is a multi-functional grid feeding monitoring relay with Modbus RTU communication interface, designed to provide interface protection. It is intended for installation between renewable energy systems and the public grid, ensuring grid stability and preventing blackouts. If voltage or frequency magnitudes of the public grid fall outside the permitted range, the device changes status and disconnects the renewable energy system by signaling a decoupling unit such as a contactor, switch disconnector or circuit breaker. When the grid stabilizes, automatic reconnection is possible.
The relay provides functions including over- and undervoltage monitoring, over- and underfrequency monitoring, interrupted neutral monitoring, 10 minutes average value monitoring, vector shift detection, and rate of change of frequency (RoCoF) monitoring to detect loss of mains events. This product complies with G99 requirements and connects to ABB Ability Energy and Asset Manager cloud solution.
